Academy Specialism

Our Shield of Expertise

At Laidlaw Schools Trust, our academies specialise in specific areas of expertise. We call this our 'shield' model.

Each academy shield shows the organisation's specialisms over 2 levels:

• Academy Core Specialisms (Level 1) -  3 core areas. Other schools engage with Westgate Hill for help with these substantial core areas.
• Academy Awards and Accreditations (Level 2) – up to 6 identified awards or accreditations held by the school. Other schools liaise with Westgate Hill for support in receiving these awards.

This knowledge is shared with other schools for the benefit of all. Our expertise is openly shared with other LST academies or with other schools via school-to-school support agreements.
