Westgate Hill Recognised for Outstanding Music Provision
Back
Westgate Hill Primary Academy is proud to have been recognised on the Music Mark website for its exceptional commitment to music education and community music-making.
This accolade shines a spotlight on the school’s thriving after-school Djembe and Ukulele clubs, where pupils, parents and teachers come together each week to learn, perform and share the joy of music. These sessions not only nurture creativity but also strengthen community bonds, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
At LST Academies, we believe in providing enrichment opportunities that go beyond the classroom and this achievement is a fantastic example of how music can inspire and unite a whole school community.
We look forward to seeing Westgate Hill’s brilliant work continue to grow and encourage even more pupils to discover the power of music.
“It has been amazing to see our families engaging in the drumming and ukulele sessions. We have had sibling groups from across all year groups joining in and all of the children have loved playing the instruments and learning new songs with their parents. It has been clear to see that parents have enjoyed both supporting their children in the sessions and learning a new skill themselves. Parents and children leave the sessions with a huge smile on their faces. It is so lovely to have the opportunity to invite parents into school for such a fun shared activity.”
